GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position of AP3 exit operator is responsible for all operating functions as listed below.
Operation of the AP3 Unit must be understood in total with the focus of utilizing the equipment
to meet all the quality and productivity goals as outlined in our quality system. All work
instructions must be followed as outlined.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Minimum of High School Degree or Equivalent (GED).
PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:
The position of AP3 exit operator is responsible for all operating functions as listed below.
Operation of the AP3 Unit must be understood in total with the focus of utilizing the equipment
to meet all the quality and productivity goals as outlined in our quality system. All work
instructions must be followed as outlined.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Check schedule of coils to be run to insure correct coil is on the line.
- Receive communication from Entry of coil number running and observe for any incoming
- Monitor coils in line for steering and defects, correct as necessary.
- Work with the Pickling/SKP operator while performing all functions at the SKP/TLU.
- Work with the Pickling/SKP/Trim operator while performing set ups on the side trimmer and
- Start the coil to the Coiler Reel and insert interleaving paper and cores as per work
- Ensure that there is an ample supply of the correct interleaving paper and cardboard cores
- Properly identify coils exiting the unit as per work instructions and enter all machine sheets.
- Follow all prescribed safety rules.
- Housekeeping/maintenance work as assigned.
- Any other jobs as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned
- Participation in relevant continuous improvement programs.

- Mobility in plant

- Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor
- Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required to be used or

- Respirators; the respirator requires you to be clean shaven in order to comply with
- Fire Retardant clothing
- Acid PPE
- Report to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any contravention of the
- Must follow all Lock out Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated machines
- Must follow all Environmental Policies and Regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations
- Clean, well ventilated and safe work areas.
- Abiding by the Acerinox Code of Conduct
