Responsibilities
- Prepare and apply chemical agents for pest control, lawn care, farming, or landscaping projects using appropriate spray equipment and techniques
- Follow strict safety protocols including confined space entry safety procedures and respiratory protection guidelines to ensure personal and team safety during chemical handling
- Conduct site assessments to determine the most effective pest management or land care strategies, incorporating integrated pest management principles
- Operate hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and ladder safety procedures to access hard-to-reach areas or perform precise applications
- Manage pesticide inventory, ensuring proper storage and handling according to regulatory standards
- Document all spray activities meticulously, including chemical usage, site conditions, and safety measures taken
- Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites while adhering to all driving regulations and land transportation policies
Skills
- Strong knowledge of pest control techniques, pesticide management, and entomology fundamentals
- Proficiency in chemical agent handling with an emphasis on safety and environmental responsibility
- Familiarity with confined space entry safety procedures and respiratory protection equipment usage
- Experience with lawn care, farming practices, landscaping, or agriculture operations
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and other equipment efficiently
- Excellent understanding of ladder safety procedures and working at heights safely
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients about project scope and safety protocols
- Valid driving license with a clean record for safe transportation between job sites
- Valid Commercial Pesticide Technician License
