Role Summary
The Stewardship Liaison cultivates and grows individual donor relationships to increase mid-level gifts and long-term partnerships. Working closely with NAMB and Send Relief development leadership, this role manages donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to achieve fundraising goals and ensure consistent mission-aligned messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Articulate NAMB and Send Relief ministries clearly in spoken and written communications.
- Manage cultivation and development of ~400 current and prospective individual donor relationships to build a mid-level donor pipeline.
- Qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors via phone, email, mail, and in-person visits.
- Engage donors in documented gift strategy discussions (outright gifts, deferred giving, stock, real estate, bequests, etc.).
- Prepare funding requests, solicitation letters, acknowledgments, and stewardship reports timely.
- Develop growth strategies and set annual goals for new and current individual donors.
- Identify new prospects through internal and external sources.
- Network with SBC foundation personnel and corporate giving peers to introduce NAMB and Send Relief to prospective donors.
- Maintain accurate constituent records in Raiser’s Edge and protect donor confidentiality.
- Participate in development team and organizational meetings as needed.
- Travel approximately 20–30 days per year.
Education & Experience
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of successful nonprofit fundraising experience, with experience in mid-level or major gifts preferred. Experience in SBC-affiliated organizations is a plus.
Faith & Ministry Alignment
All NAMB staff positions are ministerial in nature and support the organization’s religious mission. Candidates should be supportive of NAMB’s mission and doctrinal positions. Active membership in a Southern Baptist church is preferred but not required.
