Youth Hockey CoachNorth American Junior HawksPosition Summary
The North American Junior Hawks are seeking passionate, energetic, and committed coaches to join our youth hockey staff. Coaches will be responsible for leading player development both on and off the ice while creating a positive, competitive, and team first environment for athletes and families.
This is a seasonal, stipend based position that includes weekday practices at Canton Ice House and weekend games throughout the Greater Boston area.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with 2 to 3 on ice practices per week at Canton Ice House
- Coach games on Saturdays and Sundays in the surrounding Boston area
- Develop age appropriate practice plans focused on skill development, hockey IQ, and team play
- Foster a positive and disciplined team culture
- Communicate professionally with players, parents, and organization leadership
- Support player growth both athletically and personally
- Arrive prepared, organized, and on time for all team activities
- Uphold the standards and values of the North American Junior Hawks organization
Qualifications
- Previous coaching and/or playing experience required
- USA Hockey certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passion for teaching and mentoring young athletes
- Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches and directors
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Schedule
- 2 to 3 weekday evening practices at Canton Ice House
- Weekend games throughout the Greater Boston area
- Additional tournaments and team events may be included throughout the season
Compensation
- Stipend based compensation depending on age level, experience, and schedule commitment
- Travel arrangements covered if needed

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
