We are looking for a CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer who wants to grow into a broader role within the company.
This is a full-time, on-site position in West Springfield, MA. While CNC programming is a key part of the role, this position goes beyond programming and provides exposure to quoting, job planning, and shop operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Programming CNC milling and turning operations (CAMWorks or similar)
- Reviewing and interpreting prints and technical drawings
- Supporting quoting and process planning
- Working with travelers, routing, and scheduling
- Identifying opportunities to improve setups, workflows, and efficiency
- Collaborating closely with production, inspection, and management
This role is designed for someone who wants to expand beyond programming and grow into a leadership or operations role over time.
- Experience with CNC programming (CAMWorks, Mastercam, or similar)
- Strong understanding of machining processes (milling and/or turning)
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings
- Experience working with tight tolerances and precision components
- Interest in learning quoting, scheduling, and shop operations
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have:
- Job shop experience (high-mix, low-volume)
- Manufacturing or mechanical engineering background
