OB/GYN Physician | Fort Myers, FL | $300K–$400K $50K Bonus
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician for a full-time opportunity in Fort Myers, Florida.
This position offers a true full-scope practice combining outpatient women’s health, obstetrics, hospital-based care, deliveries, and gynecologic surgery. Physicians are supported by an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife team providing continuous hospital coverage, creating a more manageable call structure while allowing physicians to maintain a broad clinical and surgical practice.
Both experienced OB/GYN physicians and physicians completing residency are encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Benefits
- $300,000–$400,000 base salary, based on experience
- Approximately $300,000 starting base for physicians completing residency
- $50,000 commencement bonus
- Up to $10,000 relocation reimbursement
- $5,000 annual employer pension contribution
- Full pension vesting after 5 years
- Up to $3,000 annually for CME
- 20 paid days off
- 9 paid holidays
Schedule & Call
- Full-time employed position
- Approximately 40–50 hours per week
- 1:6 physician call rotation
- Day off following call
- Overnight call taken from home
- 9 Certified Nurse Midwives provide 24/7 hospital coverage
- Physician responds in person when clinically necessary
Clinical Scope
The physician will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care across outpatient and hospital settings, including:
- Prenatal and obstetric care
- Labor and delivery
- Vaginal deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- General gynecology
- Preventive women’s health
- Diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic conditions
- Hysterectomies
- Colposcopies
- Other appropriate gynecologic surgical procedures
- Robotic surgery privileges available through the hospital
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope OB/GYN care in clinic and hospital settings
- Evaluate patients and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Manage pregnancies throughout the prenatal, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Perform deliveries, C-sections, and gynecologic procedures
- Interpret diagnostic testing and manage medications as clinically indicated
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Participate in scheduled office and hospital coverage
- Collaborate closely with physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, nurses, and other clinical professionals
- Provide clinical supervision to advanced practice providers, nurses, medical students, or other personnel when required
- Maintain appropriate productivity, quality, licensing, and credentialing standards
Qualifications Required
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain one
- Ability to obtain appropriate hospital privileges
- Comfortable practicing full-scope obstetrics and gynecology
- Strong clinical, surgical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Robotic gynecologic surgery experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience caring for diverse patient populations
