What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Intern-Seasonal position at Norristown Area School District?
The Human Resources intern will work within the HR function to assist with administrative and HR-related tasks. The HR intern’s responsibilities include, organizing employee paper records, filing HR documents, initiating background checks, shredding old documents and providing suitable recommendations to improve HR policies. The HR intern will be responsible to draft employee communications notifying staff of policy and procedural changes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program majoring in business management, human resource management or related field
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is preferred
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Detail-oriented
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting with job advertisements to job boards, social media platforms, etc.
- Screening potential employees' resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill job vacancies.
- Organizing interviews
- Assisting the HR generalist team as needed
- Preparing and sending offer and rejection letters or emails to candidates
- General office duties
- Coordinating new hire sign ups
- Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.

9:00 am- 3:00 pm
