A vacancy will exist for a Special Education, Life Skills Support Teacher at Norristown Area High School for the 2025-2026 school year.
* Sign On Bonus - one time (In addition to Salary): $3,000
* Special Education Additional Stipend: $1,000
Qualifications:
- PA Special Education Certification 7-12
- Bachelor's degree in Education
- Experience working with special education students preferred
- FBI, PA Criminal Background and Child Abuse clearances
Duties & Job Responsibilities:

Maintains IEP compliance.
- Maintains accurate data on students daily progress

Maintains poise and composure.

Conducts FBAs and implement PBSPs.

Maintains professional attitude.

Communicates with parents about students’ progress.

Demonstrates appropriate language.

Demonstrates a willingness to cooperate toward District goals.

Evidences planning which reflects objectives, diverse learners, and activities.

Keeps abreast of subject and special practices.

Provides appropriate instructional material to meet the students' needs.

Demonstrates the ability to organize for instruction.

Encourages students with appropriate reinforcement.

Provides an educational atmosphere consistent with instructional goals.

Provides for individual student differences.

Utilizes appropriate teaching and behavior modification strategies.
- ABA knowledge/experience preferred
Schedule:
Monday- Friday
7.5 hrs/day
2025-2026 Salary Schedule:
experience calculated per contract agreement not to exceed step 10
Bachelor's - $58,165 to $73,581 (Step 10)
Bachelor's 24 - $62,490 to $81,256 (Step 10)
Master's - $66,299 to $88,419 (Step 10)
Master's 15 - $69,165 to $92,419 ((Step 10)
Master's 30 - $72,026 to $96,420 (Step 10)
Master's 45 - $72,528 to $96,959 (Step 10)
Doctorate/Master's 60 - $73,028 to $97,497 (Step 10)
