This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mukwonago, WI, for a Youth Care Specialist at Norris, Inc. The Youth Care Specialist will work closely with youth and families to support their emotional and social development. Responsibilities include fostering positive interactions, addressing the unique needs of youth in care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and assisting with activities that promote growth and healing. Additionally, the Youth Care Specialist will provide supervision, mentorship, and crisis intervention as needed, while collaborating with team members and other professionals to provide holistic care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with youth, families, and team members
- Experience or knowledge in critical care and medicine to address potential health-related situations
- Customer service orientation and capability to provide empathetic and professional support
- Background or training in trauma-informed care is a plus
- Ability to work independently within an on-site environment and adapt to diverse situations
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in social work, psychology, or related fields are preferred
- Previous experience working with at-risk or underserved youth populations is an advantage
