Norris Middle School is seeking a qualified and student-centered Interim 7th Grade Science Teacher to join our team. This position will serve students during a temporary assignment and offers an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about science instruction and building positive relationships with middle school students.
Position:
Interim 7th Grade Science Teacher
Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging, standards-based science instruction for 7th grade students.
- Develop and implement lessons aligned to Tennessee Academic Standards.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and families.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with grade-level and content-area teams to support student achievement.
- Participate in school meetings, professional learning opportunities, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee teaching license preferred.
- Appropriate endorsement in science or a related field preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Experience working with middle school students is preferred.
