Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE: To perform a variety of operational functions that constitute the production, inspection and distribution of products or services for our customers.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.

Adheres to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Complies with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.

Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.

Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive work environment with co-workers.

Refers to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.

Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment.

Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.

Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

Some of the basic requirements for the Inspector’s job include, but are not limited to:

Process audits: Perform 3–5 plant-wide audit rounds per shift (Pressing → Paint), verify job/order requirements, first article completion, and check 2–3 random parts per operation; document findings and escalate issues.

Final inspection: Conduct 100% final inspection for assigned lines and support HP/Specialty as needed; verify drawings/specs/regulatory compliance; record defects and manage holds/re-inspection.

Gage calibration control: Maintain calibration tracker, schedule recalibration, ensure no overdue gages, label gage status, and archive certificates to gage IDs.

Document control & organization: Maintain audit-ready filing of inspection/audit/calibration/training records; ensure current revisions are used and obsolete documents are removed.

Reporting & follow-up: Issue daily/shift summary of findings and verify corrective actions are implemented and effective.

Lab compliance & organization: Maintain clean, organized lab areas and controlled records; follow document control requirements and ensure all results are filed in the correct location and format.

Corrective action: Participate and contribute on corrective actions

Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested for successful completion of the mission of Norris Cylinder.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Competencies and Education

Must posses an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret the documents relating to the job, function or assignment.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems. Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.

Accountabilities And Measures

Accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Adherence to the Quality Policy and ISO Procedural Requirements.

Ability to maintain clean work areas and follow good housekeeping practices.

Ability to follow work rules, work independently, be flexible and be willing to perform a variety of jobs.

Ability to work effectively, courteously and respectively with co- workers and other personnel.
