Job Summary:
The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules to ensure customer orders are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time. This role serves as a key link between Operations, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing, and Shipping, balancing customer requirements with available capacity, materials, equipment, and labor.
The Production Scheduler proactively monitors production activity, adjusts schedules as business needs change, and communicates production status, risks, and opportunities across the organization. The role also supports inventory accuracy, work-in-process (WIP) control, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain daily and short-term production schedules based on customer demand, facility capacity, manufacturing priorities, established production sequences, and lead times.
- Schedule jobs across machines and production processes while considering available capacity, materials, labor, equipment constraints, and established manufacturing sequences.
- Monitor production progress and proactively adjust schedules in response to machine downtime, productivity changes, customer order changes, and other disruptions.
- Partner closely with Customer Service and Sales to provide accurate production status, lead-time information, order priorities, ship dates, and delivery expectations.
- Maintain visibility of work-in-process (WIP), production priorities, overruns, shortages, and pending orders to ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution.
- Monitor forecasts and production requirements and adjust scheduling priorities to align available capacity with current and anticipated customer demand.
- Support inventory accuracy through cycle counting, inventory monitoring, and coordination of material requirements.
- Communicate schedule changes and production priorities clearly and promptly to affected departments.
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, departmental procedures, production flow, and overall operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate scheduling and production information within applicable systems and ensure data is current and reliable.
Secondary Duties:
- Perform data entry and record maintenance as required.
- Support additional administrative or customer service functions as assigned.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
