NORPAC is looking for experienced Mobile Equipment Mechanic
General requirements include demonstrated ability to work safely and comply with safety procedures, excellent team and communication skills, the ability to work without direct supervision, Manage rolling stock repairs and services, (This can range from gas welders to large front-end loaders with the bulk of the work being fork truck maintenance). basic computer skills and cost management experience.
Qualifications:Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions):
- Efficient and cost-effective parts order and inventory
- Strong record keeping on leased equipment for warranty compliance
- Tracking parts and labor to equipment for cost tracking purposes
- Responsible for maintenance on all mobile equipment in the mill. This includes routine maintenance, safety inspection, repair and machine improvement recommendations. Must be able to replace alternators, starters, radiators, mast cylinders etc.
Required Qualifications & Key Skills:
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Mastery of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in heavy industrial equipment
- Completion of a technical certification program for mobile heavy equipment repair or transferable experience
- Minimum of 3 or more year's experience with heavy equipment repair in a similar position
Desirable:
- Diesel and heavy truck mechanics are encouraged to apply as well.
Compensation:
Wage starts at $47.30 and typically progresses to $48.98 in 3-6 months.
