Qualifications:NORPAC is looking for a dynamic CAD Manager to work with engineering to create, update and maintain technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. In this position, the ideal candidate will use design principles to bring engineering designs and ideas to fruition
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Lead, maintain, develop, and monitor company’s electronic and physical drawing library

Maintain and update company CAD standards and manual
-
Maintain and develop drawings to ensure they meet company standards

Generate 2D drawings from conceptual hand sketches including general arrangements, process & instrumentation drawings, process flow sheets, instrumentation loop sheets, MCC drawings, and electrical one-line drawings

Make adjustments to drawings according to feedback from engineers and other company employees

Manage drawing title blocks

Coordinate daily work with engineering and maintenance teams on routine drawing updates

Checkout drawings to company staff and third-party engineers

Monitor checked out drawings

Participate collaboratively on large capital project teams

Work with third party design engineers to receive, manage, distribute, and file drawing submittals

Audit and monitor third party drawing submittals for drawing standards compliance

Allocate assignment of drawing numbers and instrumentation loop numbers

Required Qualifications and Key Skills:

Associates degree or certificate in design or technical field or a combination of education/experience

Possess excellent skills in written and oral communication
-
Demonstrated ability to learn and continue to develop knowledge and skills base

Strong computer skills which include knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel

Demonstrated deep knowledge of AutoCAD 2023 and/or 2026 for Windows, including custom menu development, profile management, printer management, rights management, and automated PDF generation

Working knowledge of process piping, manufacturing equipment, electrical power systems, and control systems.

Ability to excel with minimal supervision using effective time management

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills

Skilled in prioritizing multiple tasks and demands

Flexible to meet changing business and team needs with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Desirable:

Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing facility

Working knowledge of document management software and SAP

Ability to perform mechanical design for small projects
Compensation:
Annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 depending on experience (DOE).
