Job Summary
Permanent weekend Caregiver Position- Saturday-Sunday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. With availability to be on call and pick up shifts on an as needed basis.
Must have an Active Washington State HCA or CNA License.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Caregivers to provide exceptional support and care to residents in a senior living community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting a comfortable and respectful environment. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our residents, many of whom may have special needs such as dementia or mobility challenges. Prior experience in long-term care, home care, or assisted living settings is highly valued. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accordingly using EMR systems
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering social engagement and well-being
- Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids safely and effectively
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas to promote a safe environment
- Assist with transportation needs, including driving residents to appointments or community activities
- Follow care plans established by nursing staff or healthcare professionals
- Document all care activities accurately and report any changes in resident condition promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s, dementia, and memory care techniques
- Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or behavioral management skills
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, or reposition residents using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation duties
- First aid certification is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected
