Job Description:
Small finance/mortgage company seeking Assistant Controller
Duties include:
- Cash Management
- Approve invoices, wires and loan closings
- Maintain personnel records, 401k, pension accounting, vacations
- Review daily and monthly financial reports
- Prepare quarterly/annual financial and lending activity reports for state agencies, banks and NMLS
- Assist in preparation of tax and audit documents for outside accounting firm
- Assist with state audits
- Assist with annual renewal of state licensing on NMLS.
Training provided as needed. 32-36 hours per week.
Excellent office. Must have good credit. Base salary $72,000 - $85,000 with potential for substantial bonus, benefits (401K, health insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick time, pension). A good understanding of accounting or finance. 2-3 years relevant work experience. Report directly to the company President. Knowledge of mortgage lending and regulations helpful. Must be good at simple mathematics. Strong communication skills and must be comfortable working with a team. Proficient with Excel, Word and experience with QuickBooks preferred.
Pay: $72,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
