Position Summary
The Busser supports the front-of-house team by maintaining clean and beautifully presented dining areas, assisting with table resets, supporting service flow, and ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and welcoming experience. This role is critical to the success of each service and requires strong teamwork, attentiveness, and a commitment to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly and precisely according to restaurant standards
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the dining room, service stations, and guest-facing areas throughout service
- Support servers and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth, timely, and polished service
- Refill water, assist with bread service, and provide additional table support as directed
- Transport dishes, glassware, flatware, and service items safely and efficiently between the dining room and kitchen
- Keep service stations stocked with necessary supplies, including glassware, flatware, linens, and other service tools
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in back-of-house support areas as needed
- Anticipate guest and team needs with awareness and professionalism
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling standards
- Contribute to a team culture built on respect, discipline, and hospitality excellence
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, food service, or fine dining experience preferred
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to communicate clearly and work closely with servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff
- Ability to remain poised and organized during busy service periods
