Duties
- Measure door openings accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure perfect fitment.
- Install doors using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, adhering to safety standards and project specifications.
- Perform metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and frame carpentry to prepare spaces for door installation.
- Fabricate custom door frames or modifications as needed using fabrication techniques and mechanical knowledge.
- Complete door hanging tasks including securing hinges, locks, fixtures, and hardware with locksmithing skills.
- Seal gaps with caulking and perform finishing touches such as trim carpentry to ensure a polished appearance.
- Conduct electrical work related to fixture installation or electrical experience requirements when necessary on remodeling projects.
- Read blueprints and schematics thoroughly to follow detailed installation instructions accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools proficiently for cutting, drilling, welding, and assembly tasks on-site.
- Assist with remodeling projects by providing handyman services such as cabinet installation or fixture adjustments as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety protocols related to heavy lifting, metal framing, or electrical components.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on door installation or related carpentry work.
- Skilled in glass installation, welding, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation techniques.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical systems understanding.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication processes involving metal or wood materials.
- Knowledge of locksmithing principles for lock installation or repair is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during installations.
- Prior experience in remodeling projects involving electrical work or electrical systems is advantageous.
