Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, including meats, vegetables, and specialty dishes, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Follow established recipes, menu specifications, and food safety guidelines to deliver flavorful meals efficiently
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new grilled dishes and seasonal specials that excite our guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, including proper food handling and storage practices
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety standards are met at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of grilled foods as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within the food industry, especially in grill or restaurant settings
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques used in grilling and food handling
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
- Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in fine dining or similar environments is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not required
