Job Summary
- Transfers and transports patients within the hospital and at time of discharge.
- Picks up and delivers patient supplies and equipment to departments inside the hospital.
- Cleans and sanitizes transportation equipment.
- Performs duties relating to Shift Coordinator in the absence of the Supervisor/Coordinator/Lead.
- Performs AIDET.
- Attend at least 75% of department meetings.
- Cross-train to perform transporter functions at all facilities in the health system.
- Performs courier functions as assigned.
- Communicates with department utilizing assigned smartphone devices.
- Deliver adequate oxygen to all requesting units during severe weather (Code Black).
Qualifications:
Education
- High school education or equivalent.
Experience
- Prefer experience providing customer service in transportation (or transport), clerical duties, and/or dispatching associated functions. Requires general computer skills capable of utilizing health system's software programs.
Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) CPR acquired before or during new hire orientation.
