What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Rehabilitation Technician - PRN position at Norman Regional Health System?
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the administration of treatments under specific instruction and supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Maintains the department and treatment areas in a safe and clean condition.
- Maintains supplies necessary for daily operation of the clinic/department.
- Assists patients with routine ambulation under direction of the nursing staff (Porter Acute Care).
- Provides supervision of community aquatics programs. (PPC)
- Assists in collecting and maintaining information related to therapy treatment information.
Education
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Prefer college student with declared major or enrollment in Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupation Therapy, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, or other health related field (i.e., nursing, physical education, etc.).
- Skills with computer and typing preferred.
Experience
- Prefer hospital experience with direct patient care.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure / Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
Compensation
- $10.04-$16.40/hr. based on previous work experience.
- Evening differential $1.50/hr.
- Night differential $1.75/hr.
- Weekend differential $1.75/hr.
