Overview of the Position
The Norman Regional Health System seeks an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to work on a PRN basis in our Intensive Care Unit. As a critical member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
- The hourly rate for this role is $27.84-$45.46, depending on your previous work experience.
- A differential pay system is in place, offering additional compensation for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Key Accountabilities
- Assessment and Reevaluation: Systematically assess patients' healthcare needs, involving patients, families, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Nursing Diagnosis and Patient Outcomes: Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and expected patient outcomes, engaging patients, families, and healthcare teams in the process.
- Coordination of Nursing Care: Provide nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and meet patient needs, guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
- Evaluation and Quality Improvement: Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- An ADN diploma or associate's degree in nursing is required; a BSN or MSN is preferred.
- Previous experience in the healthcare field is beneficial.
- Oklahoma RN licensure is mandatory, along with BLS training or retraining during orientation prior to providing patient care.
