Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for helping ensure the efficient movement, tracking, and coordination of inventory, materials, and shipments. This position works closely with warehouse personnel, transportation providers, vendors, and customers to maintain operational efficiency and support daily business objectives.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and transportation schedules
- Monitor shipment activity and provide status updates as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory records, logistics documentation, and operational reports
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding logistics activities
- Assist with scheduling deliveries, pickups, and inventory transfers
- Track inventory movement and support inventory control procedures
- Coordinate storage activities and warehouse operations
- Monitor order fulfillment processes to ensure timely and accurate completion
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, scheduling conflicts, and logistics-related issues
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and operational documentation
- Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and material tracking activities
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety guidelines, and operational standards
- Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, inventory management, supply chain operations, or related fields preferred but not required
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and inventory systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
