What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Sales Associate position at Norman & Moore Vision Clinics?
About Norman Vision Clinic
At Norman Vision Clinic, we believe eye care is about more than just sight—it’s about helping our community see and live their best lives. We take pride in cultivating a warm, positive, and supportive team culture where continuous learning and career growth are actively encouraged.
If you’re enthusiastic, love helping people, and are looking for a long-term professional home where your contribution truly matters, we’d love to meet you!
Position Overview
We are looking for a vibrant, outgoing Optician / Optical Stylist to join our dedicated team. In this versatile role, you’ll split your time between styling patients in the optical shop, processing orders, and supporting daily optical operations.
No prior optical experience? No problem! If you have a passion for customer service and a strong work ethic, we will train and support you every step of the way—including backing your journey to become a certified optician or paraoptometric professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Styling & Frame Selection: Help patients select frames and lens options that fit their lifestyle, vision needs, and personal style.
- Order Management: Accurately write up, submit, and track optical lens and frame orders.
- Front Office Support: Warmly greet arriving patients in the optical, answer incoming phone calls, and schedule patient appointments.
- Contact Lens Coordination: Place and track contact lens orders for patients.
- Team Operations: Pitch in across clinic duties with a "team-first" attitude to keep daily clinic flow smooth and seamless.
What We’re Looking For
- Positive & Outgoing Personality: Excellent interpersonal skills with an authentic desire to care for patients.
- Strong Work Ethic & Drive: Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player Mentality: A collaborative mindset—willing to jump in wherever needed to support your teammates.
- Career-Oriented: Seeking a long-term, stable career path in eye care rather than just a job.
Why Join Our Team?
- Growth & Certification Support: Full support and resources toward earning professional certifications (such as CPO, ABOC or NCLE).
- Positive Work Environment: A friendly, close-knit team that values collaboration and mutual success.
- Comprehensive Training: On-the-job training provided for candidates with strong customer service or retail backgrounds.
