POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care by assessment, planning, teaching, treatment and evaluation of the patient. Provides safe, knowledgeable, compassionate, educative, individualized and goal directed nursing care to patients and families.
Required Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Current licensure in the State of Oklahoma as a registered nurse.
2. Meets the needs of the nursing service as demanded by the schedule, particularly when overtime hours and time changes become necessary.
3. Current BLS.
4. Full-time RN must have current ACLS, or obtain within 6 months of hire. PRN RNs are encouraged to have ACLS. (An RN that is ACLS certified must be present when any patients are present at the facility)
5. Only RNs with ACLS may give sedation and monitor the patient during procedures.
6. Good written skills and verbal command of the English language.
7. Skills in dexterity for moving and positioning patients.
8. Ability to work well with Physicians, fellow employees and patients.
9. Positive response to supervision and criticism.
10. Requires extensive mobility.
11. Periodic pushing, pulling and lifting patients
12. Potential exposure to HLD agents
13. Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens and patients with communicable diseases.
