What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Clubhouse Manager Internship position at Normal CornBelters?
Summary
The Normal CornBelters (NCB), a summer wood-bat collegiate baseball team, are members of the Prospect League. The CornBelters are owned and operated by Play9 Sports, a sports management group. Play9 Sports also operates the Kernels Collegiate League (KCL), a wood-bat collegiate league, which plays a 30-game league solely at the Corn Crib in Normal. The Normal CornBelters, Kernels Collegiate League, and the Corn Crib are looking for a Game Operations Intern to join their team for the upcoming 2026 season. Roles will be assigned based on the individual's experience and ability following an interview process to determine the best fit within the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop strong relationships with Coaches, players, and Front Office
- Assist with daily cleaning for the Clubhouse and bathrooms before, during, and after games
- Ensure all Clubhouse trash is emptied before and after each game
- Ensure all locker rooms and bathrooms are stocked as needed
- Assist with team laundry after each game
- Organizing and getting equipment ready for batting practice and each game, which includes but is not limited to getting game bats ready, filling the Game-Day ball bag, getting batting practice and game uniforms ready, and hanging in each locker
- Assisting umpires during their stay as needed, including meals, laundering of uniforms, cleaning the umpire locker room, etc.
- Assisting field set up for on-field batting practice and KCL extra innings
- Assist in the pick up and set up of CornBelters player meals

- Have an enthusiastic, positive attitude and provide a strong effort to succeed
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized
- Must be available for all CornBelters home games and KCL games and have the ability to work extended hours, including weeknights and weekends
- Must have reliable transportation
- Can succeed in a team environment
- Able to multitask and effectively problem-solve
- Comfortable interacting with other team members
