Position Overview:
We’re looking for a highly skilled Automotive Diagnostician to join our team. You’ll be the go-to expert for identifying complex issues and helping guide our technicians to get vehicles back on the road quickly and safely. If you're passionate about diagnostics, electrical systems, and digging deep into vehicle issues others can't figure out — we want to meet you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose complex drivability and electrical issues using OBDII and manufacturer-specific tools
- Follow OEM or AllData-approved diagnostic procedures
- Perform system tests on sensors, wiring harnesses, circuits, modules, etc.
- Use tools like multimeters, scan tools, and more to trace and verify problems
- Collaborate with other techs and service writers to ensure accurate repair orders are drafted, as well as great customer service
- Occasionally assist with training or guiding junior techs
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in automotive diagnostics and repair (or equivalent training)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, CAN networks, and modern vehicle electronics
- Proven ability to diagnose and test sensors, circuits, harnesses, and control modules
- Familiarity with OEM software, AllData, and modern diagnostic equipment
- ASE certifications (especially L1 Advanced Engine Performance) a strong plus
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and a great communicator
