Norlite Nursing Center — a trusted, locally owned skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Marquette — is seeking a Billing Manager to lead our billing operations and ensure timely, accurate reimbursement for the care we provide.
What You’ll Do
As Billing Manager, you’ll be the financial heartbeat of our organization — overseeing all resident billing, collections, and insurance submissions. You’ll collaborate closely with our Administrator, Accountant, and interdisciplinary team to keep everything running smoothly and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all UB-04, private pay, Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident accounts and deposits
- Monitor aging accounts and manage collections
- Ensure all necessary assessments and documentation are complete for billing deadlines
- Prepare financial and aging reports for leadership
- Assist residents and families with Medicaid applications and redeterminations
- Support front-office and payroll functions as needed
- Participate in QAPI and quality initiatives that improve resident care
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting preferred)
- 3 years of experience in billing, bookkeeping, or healthcare accounting
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and insurance reimbursement processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with computers and billing software
