Under general supervision is responsible for assembling a variety of aftermarket/OEM parts and machine orders.
Job Functions
- Assembles a variety of parts orders by performing a variety of duties such as grinding, fitting, assembling and basic mig welding. Working from blueprints, utilizing hand and power tools.
- May operate cranes, hoists and/or forklifts to properly place parts and subassemblies in position for assembly or storage.
- Occasionally work in confined spaces – work at 30’ height when working in final assembly.
- May cut steel to size or shape by operating the oxyacetylene equipment on critical cuts and/or operating the plasma cutting machine.
- May prepare machine/parts for painting by cleaning, sanding or taping.
- Is responsible for keeping work area clean by sweeping floor, removing trash and properly storing parts and materials.

Qualifications & Experience
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Welding experience required: Minimum two years welding experience preferred
- Other Requirements: Basic shop math skills, basic computer skills, knowledge of mechanics and blueprints, ability to read a tape measurer, ability to work overtime
- Willingness to train and learn in the AX ERP system
