Norges Bank Investment Management is looking for an outstanding individual to join our highly successful North America Fixed Income team, part of the Market Strategies Investment Area. You will follow global fixed income markets, with particular focus on the United States and Canada. We seek to generate excess return by utilising a broad array of macro fundamental and relative value strategies. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow into a risk-taking role. Duties And Responsibilities
What you will do
- Market Analysis and Research to support both our macro and relative value strategies, ideally using quantitative and tech skills
- Support Senior PMs in a range of ongoing and ad hoc tasks including PnL monitoring, strategy attribution and preparing presentations
- Build and Maintain Infrastructure to support the team including relative value models, signal generation, scenario analysis and government related credit analysis
- Trade Idea Generation including proposing themes and opportunities across rates, foreign exchange, derivatives, government related credit, inflation and many other markets we are involved in
What You Need
- 2-4 years of work experience in finance. Experience with quantitative analysis on, or managing fixed income portfolios, is a plus
- University degree in a finance, economics or mathematical discipline. CFA Charterholder, or candidate and/or a master’s degree, is a plus
- You should have skill in technology (related to Python, Excel/VBA, SQL Server/Snowflake) and strong quantitative analysis skills
- A passion for financial markets and macroeconomics
- Desire and capability to take on and manage risk, following a rigorous analyses-based process
- Team player with a positive attitude and work ethic
- Fluency in written and spoken English
