(As seen in the Norfolk Daily News) Region 4 Behavioral Health System is seeking an Emergency and Behavioral Health Justice System Coordinator to coordinate and monitor both the Behavioral Health Emergency System and the Behavioral Health Justice System in Region 4. This role involves collaborating with contract providers, consumers, corrections, and law enforcement to ensure an effective emergency network system. The Coordinator will identify system issues, engage in problem-solving processes related to the criminal justice system and its behavioral health needs. This position will also assist individuals, providers, Lincoln Regional Center, and regional jails in transitioning individuals back into the community. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to analyze data, and the capability to work autonomously. Strong negotiation, time management, and problem-solving skills are essential for resolving internal and external conflicts and maintaining effective relationships with advisory committees, task forces, providers, and consumer organizations on system-wide issues. Knowledge and/or experience in the Nebraska Behavioral Health System and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related Behavioral Health field are preferred.
