Role Description:
NOREAS has an immediate opening for a full-time Accountant at our Irvine, California office. This role suits candidates with 0–5 years of experience, recent graduates included. NOREAS is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented accountant to join our team. This is a chance to build a strong foundation and grow your accounting career alongside an experienced, supportive team.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
- Help prepare financial statements and management reports
- Support audits, tax filings, and compliance work
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
- Strong familiarization with Unanet project accounting software
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- Master’s degree in Accounting (MAcc) is a strong plus
- 0–5 years of accounting experience; recent graduates are welcome to apply
- Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Unanet or QuickBooks is a plus
- Prior government contracting experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines
- Clear communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Interest in pursuing a CPA license is a plus
