Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic with a broad range of marine industry experience to keep our vessels seaworthy and reliable. You’ll handle maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of propulsion systems, diagnosing engine issues, and ensuring that systems perform at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs of marine engines, particularly diesel propulsion systems.
- Diagnose malfunctions in propulsion, fuel, hydraulic, and related systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and improve system performance.
- Work closely with electricians and fiberglass technicians to support vessel service and refit projects.
- Ensure compliance with marine safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate service and repair logs.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of marine propulsion systems—especially diesel engines.
- Versatility across marine mechanical systems (fuel, hydraulic, cooling, etc.).
- Skilled in diagnostic procedures and mechanical repair techniques.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adept at both independent and team-based work.
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
