POSITION SUMMARY 

The Picker/Packer I is responsible for processing and fulfilling customer orders with accuracy and efficiency. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Mark and label containers, container tags, or products.
• Pick, pack and audit customer orders
• Relabel and repack customer orders
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Pack customer orders and other outbound cargo for shipment.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Obtain, move, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders, using hand tools.
• Update required databases and spreadsheets with order information
• Print required labels and documents for all orders
• Check and respond to emails related to order processing and job functions
• Other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements 

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
• Six months to one year related experience preferred
• Knowledge of shipping computer software is helpful
• Ability to work safely, and to recognize potential hazards in a noisy warehouse environment in which employees move about regularly in the midst of heavy equipment in motion
