As our Shipping, Receiving & Materials Control Specialist, you’ll blend physical work with smart systems use to keep parts moving from dock to workbench to the farm—safely and on time.
Imagine ThisA truck arrives. You verify goods against the purchase order, update SAP, and place items where teams can reach them fast. You top off materials at production stations per the day’s schedule, then prep outbound freight with perfect counts and documentation. Before close, you reconcile a count variance, document a waste transfer for recycling, and send inventory metrics that help Finance hit deadlines.
Responsibilities- Handle all inbound materials: receipt, unpacking, verification, and correct placement.
- Fulfill production demand: deliver materials to assembly workstations as scheduled.
- Ship with confidence: prepare and safely load trucks bound for the farm with accurate quantities and packaging.
- Maintain system accuracy: record receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, losses, and sales order shipments in SAP/ERP promptly.
- Keep the warehouse and loading dock orderly; coordinate waste collection and transfers for disposal or recycling.
- Track and control inventory: perform counts regularly and resolve discrepancies.
- Contribute to monthly and annual financial results by providing timely inventory data and insights.
- Take on additional assignments as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One or more years of warehouse experience preferred; manufacturing background valued.
- Heavy material handling capability and strong organizational habits.
- Fluent English communication; able to read and interpret delivery notes, inventory reports, and related documents.
- ERP/MRP familiarity (SAP, JD Edwards) to manage inventory records and reporting; CMMS exposure beneficial.
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency for data entry, documentation, and analysis.
- Team-first approach with the ability to collaborate, delegate, and support others to keep operations smooth.
- Driving requirement: valid license, insurable under company policy, and subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks.
- Live Nordex’s safety standards and follow all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Identify risks early and address them proactively.
- Use required PPE at all times (eye and hearing protection, steel-toe boots, hard hat). Avoid loose clothing and jewelry.
