What are the responsibilities and job description for the Precision Agronomy Sales Intern position at Norder Supply?
This summer internship offers students an opportunity to be an integral part of our sales team, playing a pivotal role in driving the success of our business. As an intern, you will collaborate closely with our Spot On Scripts team, providing you with valuable experience in precision agronomy. Throughout this internship, you will receive dedicated mentorship, constructive feedback, and tailored coaching to enhance your skills and knowledge. You will gain an understanding of Norder Supply’s Spot On Scripts platform and the technology and recommendations that are provided through it. This role will empower you to deliver on our purpose of “Assisting our Customers in Achieving Maximum Net Return per Acre.”
Key Responsibilities
- Work and train alongside a mentor, leading you to perform regular field visits to assess crop health, growth, and potential issues. Utilize your observations to provide valuable insights and recommendations to customers.
- Work with soil moisture probes & learn to develop recommendations.
- Assist in Climate FieldView installs & data collection.
Work with a mentor to evaluate new precision ag technologies.
- Collaborate with the sales team to build and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Learn how to identify and meet customer needs effectively.
Attend training events, field days, and sales meetings to enhance agronomy knowledge and skills.
Actively seek feedback and coaching from the Spot On Scripts team.
Complete a project in order to enhance Norder Supply’s knowledge of products and their performance.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interest in precision agronomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Holds a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
- Self-motivated and proficient in working independently and as part of a team.
Critical Experience
- Pursuing a degree in business, agriculture science, or a related field.
- Preferably possesses general computer skills.
