What You’ll Do
As a Vessel Agent, you’ll be the key link between vessels, cargo terminals, shipping companies, and government agencies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating vessel operations – arranging pilots, tugs, and port services
- Handling port compliance – preparing customs clearances, security protocols, and cargo manifests
- Boarding vessels – visiting ships on arrival and departure to oversee operations
- Communicating with clients & stakeholders – keeping everyone informed on vessel
- schedules and cargo updates
- Problem-solving on the fly – anticipating and resolving logistical challenges
- Supporting the crew – assisting with transportation, repatriation, and visitor accessYou’ll work across Louisiana ports, with occasional travel opportunities to Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida—all company-sponsored.

No prior maritime experience? That’s okay! We’ll provide training and help you gain the certifications needed to excel.

- Competitive Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 per year (based on experience)
