What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at NORD DRIVESYSTEMS?
- Draft proposal drawings for customers.
- Design special parts and basic parts modifications like shafts, baseplates, guards, etc. (2D & 3D as needed).
- Provide customer product drawings/ Certified drawings.
- Assist with technical aspects of order entry / BOM creation, configuration and maintenance.
- Set up special part number in manufacturing system.
- Technical Support to workshop.
- Modify existing product for adaptation to customer specific applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: 2 year A.S Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience
Experience:
Experience with a majority of the Engineering and Design Responsibilities
Proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D modeling experience required, Solidworks preferred
Understanding of GD&T required
Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel is preferred
