What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Treatment System Equipment Technician position at NorCal Water Systems?
We are a Kinetico dealer in California with an exclusive territory in five counties for the world’s most efficient water softeners and filtration systems. We are looking for individuals that are looking to work hard, be a contributing member of a team, hold themselves accountable for their actions and take serious pride in their work.
Job Summary:
This position includes communicating with customers daily, loading/unloading equipment, as well as servicing and troubleshooting customer’s water filtration equipment. Working knowledge of water softeners, reverse osmosis and filtration systems, and plumbing is a plus, but not required.
Starting time is 8:00 AM, M-F. We work until all the scheduled work is done each day. Overtime is required.
At first, you will work alongside an experienced technician, and then within 4 weeks, you will work by yourself.
This position reports to our Diamond Springs, California warehouse each day before going to off-site appointments.
Qualifications:
- Basic plumbing or a mechanical aptitude
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Load and unload work truck
- Service & maintain and troubleshoot water treatment system equipment in homes
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
- Ability to document service notes
- Good written and verbal communication
- Drive to service calls and installation appointments
- Take payments at customer homes
- Ability to lift 80 lbs
- Can work on a team or by yourself
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up and downstairs
- Ability to be in crawl spaces or under homes
- Cuts threads and packs pipes
- Speak with customers in the means to up-sell products that fit their need for quality water
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to navigate a smartphone or tablet for various web-based applications.
