We are now seeking an experienced HR Manager to establish and lead the HR function at Shape. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building from the ground up - creating policies, processes, and programs that will support our people and strengthen our business. You’ll play a hands-on role in recruitment, compliance, and employee engagement while also laying the foundation for HR practices that can grow with Noratel’s presence in North America.
What You’ll Do:
As HR Manager, you’ll be responsible for building and running HR at Shape, ensuring a safe, compliant, and engaging workplace. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading health & safety initiatives, including driving ISO 45001 certification.
- Ensuring compliance with U.S. labor laws and HR regulations.
- Building programs that strengthen culture and employee engagement.
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Introducing and sustaining High-Performance Teams (HPTs).
- Coordinating training, development, and succession planning.
- Implementing performance management systems aligned with business goals.
- Advising managers on HR issues and employee relations.
- Managing compensation, benefits, and HR reporting processes.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role, where you’ll have the chance to directly shape the employee experience while preparing HR at Shape for the future.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a strong HR professional with a proven track record in building and managing HR functions, ideally in a manufacturing environment. To succeed in this role, you’ll need not only knowledge and experience, but also the right mindset - one that reflects our PACTE values.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A bachelor’s degree (master’s in psychology or related field preferred).
- 8 years of HR management experience, with background in greenfield projects a plus.
- Solid knowledge of HR policies, labor law, and best practices.
- Familiarity with ESG compliance and reporting.
- Experience in talent development, training, and performance management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A team-player spirit, accountability in execution, customer focus, care for people and planet and a drive for excellence.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is an advantage.
