Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-level property line and boundary calculations across NYC’s five boroughs
- Prepare and review control sheets and survey deliverables for field teams
- Provide senior technical oversight and resolve complex boundary or calculation issues
- Support field crews by ensuring all survey data is accurate, complete, and actionable
- Act as a senior technical authority within the surveying workflow
- Assist the survey lead in managing workload and improving operational efficiency
- 10-15 years of land surveying experience
- Strong background in office-based surveying calculations and control sheet preparation
- Deep understanding of NYC boundary and property line challenges
- Experience supporting and guiding field crews from the office
- Proven ability to operate as a senior technical authority
- Strong attention to detail and high accountability for accuracy
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in NY/NJ (Licensure increases responsibility and compensation, but non-licensed senior professionals will be considered)
- Non-licensed senior professionals: $120,000 – $150,000
- Licensed PLS candidates: $170,000 (negotiable based on experience)
- Ideally 5 days onsite in Brooklyn to support close coordination with field teams
- Flexibility may be considered for exceptional candidates
- Candidates commuting from New Jersey may be considered for a hybrid arrangement (2-3 days onsite)
