The International Programs Coordinator is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of international educational activities, including resident courses, licensing activities, guest lectures, and new business development initiatives. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to develop agendas, recruit speakers, and prepare educational materials. The coordinator will foster communication with organizational leadership, speakers, and organization societies and coordinate projects in alignment with departmental goals.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with administrative responsibilities associated with international educational programs.
  • Prepare program budgets, reconcile expenses, and oversee annual financial reviews for assigned activities.
  • Represent the organization at various international urologic society meetings as needed.
  • Participate in leadership meetings as necessary.
  • Support membership strategies and humanitarian efforts related to international collaborations and activities.
  • Coordinate assigned education programs.
  • Develop and implement educational activities (both in-person and virtual), including resident courses, licensing programs, guest lectures, and business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with Associate Secretaries or relevant stakeholders in the development of content agendas and speaker identification.
  • Recruit speakers and assist in preparing educational materials.
  • Manage program registration, content distribution, and continuing education credit processes.
  • Ensure assigned educational activities comply with accreditation standards and maintain relevant files.
  • Provide detailed budgets and assist with memorandum of understanding (MOU) management as needed.
  • Coordinate international program activities at the annual meeting.
  • Serve as the primary contact for international programs held during the annual meeting, managing program development and coordination with program directors and international society leadership.
  • Coordinate global gateway programs including identifying subject matter experts, program review, and on-site logistics.
  • Identify leaders for participation in special receptions and VIP programs at the annual meeting.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to tailor promotions related to international activities.
  • Attend the annual meeting focusing on the success of international programs as required.
  • Assist with special projects and routine departmental initiatives as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in professional education with a focus on international activities.
  • Prior experience booking and managing international travel required.
  • Experience with medical education and accreditation standards preferred.
  • Familiarity with non-profits or medical associations is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of budget preparation and daily operational management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; fluency in a foreign language preferred.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise reports from meeting attendance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Travel availability required: approximately 6 days for the annual meeting plus up to five additional trips annually.

Salary : $52,000 - $70,000
