Full time Cashier

Overview

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Full Time Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you’ll be the welcoming face of our store, helping customers with their purchases and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about providing excellent customer service, has a good eye for detail, and enjoys working in a lively retail environment. Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions accurately and quickly.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service, answering questions and assisting with product inquiries.
• Manage cash drawer handling with care, ensuring all cash handling procedures are followed properly.
• Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance the shopping experience..
• Conduct product demos when needed to educate customers about new or featured items.
• Operate high volume of phone calls.

Experience

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and balancing cash drawers.
• Experience in grocery stores or retail environments involving merchandising and stocking is advantageous.
• Bilingual abilities are a bonus to better serve our diverse customer base.
• Supervising experience is helpful but not mandatory; we value team players eager to grow their skills.
