JOB SUMMARY

The Appliance Delivery Driver plays a critical role in ensuring appliances are delivered, installed, and set up safely, accurately, and on time. This position works closely with warehouse teams, customers, and job site personnel to coordinate deliveries, complete basic installations, and support overall customer satisfaction. Success in this role means deliveries are completed without damage, installations are performed correctly, and customers receive a professional and positive experience. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical capability, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time to customer locations and job sites.
• Operate company vehicles, including non-CDL box trucks, in compliance with all safety policies and transportation regulations.
• Load, unload, and transport appliances and related materials while preventing damage and maintaining product integrity.
• Perform basic appliance installations in accordance with company standards and manufacturer guidelines (training provided).
• Verify delivery accuracy by reviewing order documentation, packing slips, and delivery tickets prior to and during delivery.
• Communicate professionally with customers during delivery and installation to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Troubleshoot minor delivery or installation issues and escalate concerns as needed.
• Complete delivery documentation accurately and maintain clear communication with leadership regarding route status.
• Support warehouse operations by assisting with staging, order preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Maintain delivery schedules and meet deadlines to support overall operational efficiency.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with the ability to meet company motor vehicle record standards.
• Minimum of 6 months of delivery driving experience in a commercial or wholesale environment.
• Ability to safely operate a non-CDL box truck.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and verify delivery documentation and follow route instructions.
• Ability to work in warehouse, road, and customer-facing environments.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering appliances or large household items.
• Experience performing basic installations or working in construction or maintenance environments.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks.
• Familiarity with delivery routing or logistics processes.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

• Stationary Position: Ability to stand and move throughout the workday.
• Mobility: Frequently moves between warehouse, delivery vehicle, and customer job sites.
• Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Positioning: Regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach during deliveries and installations.
• Manual Dexterity: Frequently uses tools and equipment to complete deliveries and basic installations.
• Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members in active environments.

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.

• Warehouse/Facility: Exposure to non-climate-controlled environments, moving equipment, and varying noise levels.
• Job Site/Field: Exposure to residential and commercial environments, including outdoor weather conditions.
• Driving: Regular operation of a company vehicle throughout the workday.
• Operational Demands: Role may require meeting deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety: Requires adherence to safety policies and use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
