Job Summary
The Lead supports the Production team in achieving operational goals. Responsibilities include data entry, personnel management, timekeeping, communication, employee training, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the Production Manager in overseeing operations and ensuring all product specifications are met.
- Direct team members and assign work based on production needs.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.) standards.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety training and ensure adherence to safety rules.
- Manage accommodations for employees with modified work restrictions.
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback for evaluations.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping in ADP for all personnel, including temporary employees.
- Enter work hours and production data into SAP and MES systems.
- Manage production schedules and daily production reports.
- Oversee the Table of Organization (TO), including staffing and temporary labor.
- Monitor and manage material inventory.
- Plan and schedule projects, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee sanitation processes to maintain cleanliness and compliance.
- Ensure all employees have the necessary tools and PPE.
- Handle disciplinary actions and provide coaching and constructive feedback.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in all work areas.
- Proficiency in English and math.
- Strong computer skills.
- Experience in the food industry preferred.
- Basic knowledge of SQF, GMPs, and safety practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Adaptable, flexible, and collaborative in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a related field preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Operates within a manufacturing environment.
