What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Dispatcher For NEMT ONLY, NY position at NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION?
Cathay Express Transportation, an Ambulette Transportation Provider in Nassau, New York is looking for a Dispatcher. Computer knowledge is a must for this position. Candidates should have excellent MS Office skills including MS word and Excel. We prefer strong oral and written communication skills. Candidates should be motivated, eager to learn, and have the ability to multi-task and work well in a team atmosphere.
Responsibilities include: dispatching duties, talking to drivers and clinics to schedule patients, answer and screen telephone calls; review and update data on the computer; and perform other job related duties as required. Training will be provided.
Job Details:
- Reviewing and preparing dispatch reports for the next day’s work
- Answering the telephone, and assisting patients and providers with their inquiries.
- Handling dispatching duties and assisting drivers with directions and mapping out locations.
- Reviewing and filing paperwork.
- Filing daily manifests for every month, in case of an audit or any miscellaneous review.
- Experience with Logistic are, MAS, Etrans Software
- Knowledge of The 5 Boroughs of NYC
Qualifications:
- Transportation Dispatcher: 1 year (Preferred)
- Minimum High school diploma or Associate degree
- Must have Computer Knowledge
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have High dispatching experience.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
