Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute the full employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, performance, offboarding)
- Provide guidance on HR policies, employment law, and compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HRIS system
- Coordinate benefits administration, open enrollment, and leave management
- Resolve employee concerns and mediate workplace conflicts
- Support managers with performance reviews and improvement plans
- Oversee payroll preparation and ensure accurate timekeeping (in coordination with payroll team)
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Develop HR reports and metrics for leadership review
- Lead or participate in employee engagement and wellness initiatives
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- At least six years of experience managing payroll within the U.S., with knowledge of advanced payroll functions (audit, reporting, and reconciliations).
- Experience working with an outsourced payroll vendor and proficiency with Workday.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, ADP, and computerized billing systems.
- Knowledge of EHR systems, AboutTime software, and prior experience with legal billing administration (a plus).
