Job Summary :
Handles patient inquiries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism to resolve patient issues with one call resolution. Communicates with patients using web-based tools and demonstrates the associated proficiency in typing and grammar. Has broad working knowledge of NOMS.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Answers phones and responds to patient requests
- Provides timely and accurate information to all incoming telephone inquiries, utilizing automated telephone system, computer applications, and other applicable resources.
- Obtains necessary information for the resolution of patient's questions / concerns.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of all patient telephone-initiated requests by scheduling appointments, taking patient demographics, transferring calls to appropriate staff.
- Ensure thorough records are maintained by documenting all actions taken to process telephone-initiated inquiries.
- Recognize, document and alert the supervisor of trends in patient calls.
- Recommends process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
