The Challenge (Job Summary)
As an Occupational Therapist for NOMS Healthcare, you are responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing, and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.
Your Day to Day & Essential Functions:
- You will comply with HIPAA and OSHA regulatory requirements.
- You will administer treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
- You will assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
- You will ensure that any changes in patient status are documented accurately and on a timely basis.
- The staff OT participates in operational aspects of the department maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in all Quality Assurance activities.
- The staff therapist coordinates delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to support staff (COTA, Rehab Techs).
- You will provide input in formulating budget, assists in evaluating department performance versus budget controls and takes appropriate action to remain in budget guidelines.
- You will participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.

- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Licensed in the State of Ohio
