Duties
- Safely operate box trucks on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local delivery runs and MUST BE a United States Citizen
- Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques and equipment like pallet jacks when necessary
- Navigate routes accurately using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations
- Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials
- Manage logistics cargo handling with precision, ensuring proper load securement and adherence to safety protocols
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and compliance documentation in accordance with company policies
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred
- Proven delivery driving experience with knowledge of route driving, ELD, and delivery procedures
- Ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks safely and efficiently; forklift certification is a plus
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard materials regulations, DOT standards, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation
- Strong understanding of GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence
- Physical ability to lift heavy cargo repeatedly and perform manual handling tasks as required
